A Ford Airplane - AMAZING - This was 6 months BEFORE Pearl Harbor! Henry Ford was determined that he could mass produce bombers just as he had done with cars, so he built the Willow Run assembly plant in Michigan and proved it. It was the world's largest building under one roof at the time.  This film will absolutely blow you away - one B-24 every 55 minutes and Ford had their own pilots to test them. Adolf Hitler had no idea the U.S. was capable of this kind of thing.  The B-24

U.S. military intervention tallies some 330 "notable deployments of U.S. military forces overseas" since 1798. This list does not include, for instance, myriad limited military engagements blockades, humanitarian airdrops, rescue operations, raids and drone strikes. But by highlighting the vital statistics of our most consequential and/or costly military engagements, it traces war's impact on America. Click here:    America at War

11/12/2015 Video/Slideshow
There have been many movies and docudrama’s depicting the Pearl Harbor attack December 7, 1941..”A Day That Will Live In Infamy”…!!! Most of the films, particularly the ones supposedly based on fact, showed short quips of a couple of P-40 pilots getting airborne and shooting down Jap planes. But I, for one, never had seen the true story and more detailed info on who these two pilots were and their actions and associated events while airborne. The “You Tube” site below contains a superb video of that story. Hope you’ll pass it on to say that history matters. 02/15/2016 Video This is a powerful tribute to our generation of Vietnam veterans.  Sam Elliott narrates this stirring video..... Vietnam, 50 years later     Prayer all [Vietnam] POWs said every evening.
I asked for strength, that I might achieve.  I was made weak that I might learn humbly to obey.
I asked for health, that I might do greater things.  I was given infirmity that I might do better things.
I asked for riches, that I might be happy.  I was given poverty, that I might be wise.
I asked for power, that I might have the praise of men.  I was given weakness, that I might feel the need of God.
I asked for all things, that I might enjoy life.  I was given life, that I might enjoy all things.
I got nothing I asked for -- but everything I had hoped for.
Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered. I am richly blessed.

National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, DC
Mount Vernon Chapter President, CDR Rex Maddox, USN(ret), joined with other WWII veterans along with Gary Sinise and Joe Mantegna as the Grand Marshal's for this year's National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, DC. Rex rode in a 1934 Packard and received the cheers from the thousands along the parade route. The parade was also broadcast across the country and to the troops overseas.

In 1943 a mid-air collision on February 1, 1943, Between a B-17 and a German fighter over the Tunis dock area, became the subject of one of the most famous photographs of WW II.
How the B-17 stayed in the air AND dropped it’s bombs I just don’t know?
