Mount Vernon Chapter Vision

Promote the aims of the Military Officers Association of America; Encourage and facilitate camaraderie among our members; Provide useful services for and protect the interests of our members, their families, and survivors and; to serve the nation, community, and members.

1. MOAA & Mount Vernon Chapter identity. The Mount Vernon Chapter shall be the destination chapter for MOAA members within our zip code zones who are seeking a military-specific organization for camaraderie, social events, and information valuable to them as active, retired, or former officers as well as their families and survivors.
    
2. Active engagement in legislative affairs. During these times of budget cuts, downsizing, and political ideas to trim the military benefits, chapter members and their families should be active participants at the local, state, and national levels.  Information on legislative actions affecting all members of the Chapter will be published in The Despatch (Chapter newsletter) and on the web site.
